🏞️ The Trail

The route follows the valley of a small coastal river, beginning and ending at a sheltered Atlantic bay. The majority of the route follows dirt tracks and farm paths, with some sections on paved roads. The right bank of the river is lined with smallholdings — vineyards, vegetable gardens, and orchards protected from sea winds by reed hedgerows and dry-stone walls. On the southern hillsides, patches of pine, eucalyptus, and scrubland alternate with scattered hamlets.

The trail is classified as a small circular route, suitable for walkers of moderate fitness.

Distance: approximately 11km circular. Mostly flat to gently rolling, with some moderate inclines on the southern hillside sections. Not suitable for guests with significant mobility limitations.

🍽️ Lunch

After the hike, lunch is at a well-established restaurant in a small fishing village where the boats still come in — honest, unpretentious cooking in a setting that has been feeding the local community for decades.

This tour is not suitable for vegans or strict vegetarians.
