Sunday, March 16th– Discover the forts, valleys, and traditional food of the Saloia Region on a circular route along dirt tracks passing through a green river valley lined with numerous vegetable gardens that create a mosaic landscape. Listen to the sound of running water and chirping birds while enjoying the beautiful scenery that the area presents us. Visit a fort that was a strategic point in the defense against the 3rd Napoleonic invasion. Continuing to the starting point through another picturesque valley of fertile agricultural fields. After the hike experience local gastronmic specialties with lunch at a tradional restaurnt.
Distance/Duration – 12km max elevation 125m/3.5-4hrs
Moderate Level 2 – Accessible to those who are in good physical health and who are used to walking. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.
Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Lunch, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
