Saturday, April 5th– Escape to a charming town nestled in the scenic Ribatejo region of Portugal, for an unforgettable experience that combines nature, culture, and culinary delights. This carefully curated trip offers you an authentic taste of Portuguese tradition, with an array of activities designed to immerse you in the local lifestyle. Here’s what awaits you:

Upon arriving we will visit a real working workshop and witness the skill and passion that goes into creating  handcrafted baskets made from a local marsh plant that has been transformed into beautiful, functional art. Afterwards we will have lunch at a tradional restaurant before heading to the beekeeper experince.

The beehive expedition is a  fascinating 3.5-4hr experience that will take us into the beautiful countryside, where you’ll meet an expert local beekeeper and learn about the ancient art of honey production. Discover the importance of bees in the ecosystem, get hands-on with the hives, harvest and taste some of the finest honey the region has to offer. It’s an experience that’s both educational and deeply connected to the land.

In the evening step into history and charm with a stay at a beautifully restored traditional Ribatejo townhouse dating back to the 1900’s. This authentic property offers a journey through time, surrounded by the allure of antique furnishings and intricate period details. Here we will have an experience like no other, and will be treated to a private 3-course dinner along with a live Fado concert.

Sunday morning enjoy time by the pool, explore the village with free time or go for an optional 9km hike along a picturesque trail. This scenic route takes you through the breathtaking Ribatejo countryside, with stunning views of rolling hills, ancient oak forests, and serene rivers. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a casual explorer, this trail offers a peaceful escape into nature.

Distance/Duration – 9km/2,5-3hrs max elevation 76m

Moderate Level 2 – Accessible to those who are in good physical health and who are used to walking. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.

Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.

Event will only take place with a Minimum of 4 Participants

Maximum Number of Participants: 8 (transportation only available for 6ppl in a private minivan)
