Sunday Nov 17th, Come along on a walk through Mediterranean forests, villages with peculiar architecture, and olive groves while enjoying spectacular views over the Hanging Valleys of the Serra dos Candeerios. Considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. The route also passes by several limestone quarries, karst formations, and through the Mogo River Valley where a great diversity of flora such as wild orchids and aromatic plants can be seen. After the walk we will visit a nearby monastery where we will attend a convent sweets festival.
Distance/Duration: 13km/3.5 -4hrs
Moderate Level 2 – Accessible to those in good physical health and who are used to walking. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.
Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Lunch, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
