Saturday, Jan 11th – Journey to discover the unique landscapes of the Sicó mountain range. Walk along rural paths marked by rocky limestone slopes that have been shaped into varied formations over the centuries by the force of water. Visit a chapel that seems suspended from a rockface and offers impressive views. The route passes through agricultural fields and Mediterranean forests that are home to a great diversity of plants and insects. We will also travel along a Biodiversity Route that is considered one of the most important Portuguese river-karst canyons. At the end of the walk we will explore Pombal and it’s cultural heritage.
Distance/Duration: 10km/3,5-4hrs
Moderate Level 2.5 – Previous hiking experience is required for this walk and participants must be in good physical shape. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.
Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Lunch, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
Event will only take place if it receives a Minimum of 4 Participants
