Sunday Feb 2nd – Walk along the cliffs of the river Tejo on a route with great scenic, geological, and cultural value. With beautiful views over the river and the castle between olive trees and old farmlands. Pass by an old carpet factory and an exhibition of contemporary art stone sculptures mixing the old with new. After the hike enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant where you can taste the regional specialities.
Distance/Duration: 16.5km – 4.5-5hrs – max elevation 187m
Moderate Level 2.5 – Accessible to those in good physical health and who are used to walking. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.
Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Lunch, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
