Friday Nov 29th, Journey to the heart of the Costa Vincentina as we enjoy 2 different walks amongst stunning landscapes between the mountains and the sea. Explore the rich and diverse cultural heritage, along with tasting the excellent local cuisine  where the sweet potato stands out as we visit one of the best gastronomic festivals in the region.

Saturday Nov 30th, – We will do a section of the Fisherman’s trail considered to be one of most beautiful coastal hikes in the world. Beginning in Aljezur walking along narrow coastal paths lined with aromatic shrubs to Arrifana. This path takes us on an authentic journey through time as it passes through an Islamic fortress convent occupied by warrior monks in the 12th century. The route also takes you to one of the most beautiful and wild beaches on this coast. A memorable walk that offers inspiring views it’s entire length.

Distance/Duration: 17.5km/6hrs

Moderate Level 3: Previous hiking experience required. Mush be in good physical shape. The route may involve steep slopes and more difficult terrain.

Sunday Dec 1st – Today we will do an easier walk along the historic way starting again from Aljezur this time walking through the interior part of the region to the coast until Arrifana. Beginning from the castle where we can enjoy vast landscape views over hills and valleys. This is a short route  through rich and diverse agricultural fields, valleys, pine and eucalyptus forests. A walk that allows us to take in the beauty of Aljezur’s natural heritage.

Distance/Duration: 12km/4hrs

Moderate Level 2 – Accessible to those in good physical health and who are used to walking. On the route we may encounter some steeper differences in level and areas where the ground may be more difficult and uneven.

Must Take – 1.5L Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Lunch, Shoes with good grip for hiking, Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.

Event will only take place if it receives a Minimum of 4 Participants 

Maximum Number of Participants: 10 (transportation available for a maximum of 6ppl)
